January 14, Dancing at Blobs Park in Jessup, Maryland

Join fellow CACers for a fun-filled evening of Polka dancing on Saturday, January 14 starting at 7 p.m. at Blob’s Park, an authentic Bavarian Biergarten at 8024 Max Blob’s Park Road in Jessup, Maryland.

Come at 7 p.m. if you’d like to get dinner—either authentic home-cooked German fare, or more ‘American’ food like a hamburger. If you’re really hungry, doors open at 6:30 p.m. From 8 p.m. till midnight, get set for dancing to the music of Mike Surratt and The Continentals. According to their website at www.polkasarecool.com, The Continentals are “your favorite polka band, saving the ‘Old World’ one polka at a time.” The local band got started in 1972 and has played at a variety of places on the East Coast. In addition to polka and waltz music, they play popular dance hits from the 1940’s to the present. RSVPs are appreciated so we will know how many tables to reserve for CAC. Admission is $8 per person, with food and drink extra.
