With merrymaking and revelry in the air, CAC cordially welcomes everyone to its 2010 Advent Mass and Christmas Gala Dinner/Dance on Saturday, December 11 with Mass at 6:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 7:45 p.m. and a dance from 9 p.m.-1 a.m.
We begin with our Chaplain, Fr. David Beaubien celebrating Mass at 6:30 p.m. at the Chapel of Our Lady of Good Counsel on 8601 Wolftrap Road in Vienna, Virginia.
Then, as an extra special treat, for the first time in many years, CACers will be partaking in a scrumptious seated dinner elegantly served at the beautiful Marco Polo Restaurant on 245 Maple Avenue in West Vienna, Virginia immediately following the Mass.
Our meal begins with a Crisp Tossed Salad with House Dressing followed by Breast of Chicken Marsala with Sliced Mushrooms and Large Shell Pasta Filled with Spinach and Ricotta (everyone gets both entrees on the same dish!) and a contorno (side dish) of Fresh Broccoli Florets Lightly Buttered. Dessert is a traditional homemade Italian Rum Cake (yum!) with coffee or tea. (Note: if you are vegetarian or have food allergies, please let us know when you RSVP!) There will be a cash bar throughout the evening and some light appetizers before the meal.
At 9 p.m. the dance commences, with our DJ spinning popular music from the past to the present.
Admission is $48 for nonmembers and only $38 for members. CACers can reserve a spot one of two ways:
By check: Send a nonrefundable check, payable to CAC of Washington, DC, to Lynn Sorbara at 232 King Farm Boulevard, Rockville, MD 20850. Dinner reservations must be received (not postmarked) by December 4.
By purchase online [coming soon...] with payment option of PayPal or credit card: Visit CAC’s web site, www.dcsinglecatholicpro.org, click on 2010 Christmas Dinner/Dance, and follow the instructions. The deadline for dinner registration is December 4. Purchases are nonrefundable.
RSVPs are required for dinner only. Names of registrants will be held at the door. For the dance only, admission is $25 for nonmembers and only $17 for members, payable at the door. Reservations for the dance are not required.
This warm and convivial evening allows you to meet wonderful people, enjoy great music and outstanding Italian food in a beautifully decorated Christmas setting. Proper dress is required.
